New corals

Postby reefbum//gm333 » 10 Dec 2008, 22:41

Well I finally bit the bullet and bought the 2 pieces I have been wanting for awhile.
These are horrible pics I will get better ones later.
The first is a colony my wife wanted.

No luck on www.coralpedia.com on an ID. My guess is they are standard orange zoas.

Yeah, this strain has a more reddish tint to it. All the ones I have seen are like this. Not as purple as the PPE's.

Ok, this one is not new, but much easier to photograph since moving it to the front.

The first pic of zoas look very much like Horizons (http://www.coralpedia.com/index.php?mod ... itemId=976). I have some that look very similar.
No trees were harmed in the writing of this post. However, several electrons were GREATLY inconvenienced.
