Fun ID fish game

Postby reefbum//gm333 » 04 Jan 2009, 14:45

I myself love this game as I know Tommy, TBX, and Nereaga as well.

The object of the game is to Identify a fish from a snippet of a fish picture. The snippet can be of any part of the body of the fish.
The main object of this game is to help you familiarize yourself with species of fish by sight. Hence why you need to provide the scientific name as well as the common name. Also many species can only be correctly identiifed by scientific name.
If they ID has not been guessed within 24hrs I will give a hint to help ID the pic.

So, give it your best shot and please provide the common and scientific name, Good Luck!

Oh yea, I do like this game! I'm going to disqualify myself though...I've been looking through too many of reefbum's pictures and think I've seen the picture that this one is taken from. This really is a great way to become familiar with species though.

Close, but not right, pay close attention to the anal and dorsal fins and not as much on the tail.
