Our first serious tank

Postby TedPearson » 05 Mar 2010, 13:06

I say serious because up to now, our aquatic adventure was one of pure incidence. It began with a baby Red-eared slider given to us by a dear elderly friend who has since 'passed'. We kept him in a 10gal behind the sink until he was big enough for a 20gal we set in the entryway. We did find a girlfriend for him in the yard and they were dubbed Mr. & Mrs. 'T'. One day we decided to feed Mr. & Mrs. 'T' some goldfish but for some reason they decided not to eat the goldfish and we soon had a school of them in the 'turtle tank'. It became obvious that a 20gal was not big enough due to the water condition and we recently purchased a 55gal tank. I can say that I became serious when we bought 2 Shubunkins as pets to add to our established community.

Hey Ted,

Thanks for sharing the pictures! Looks like you have a pretty nice set up there and your fish are looking great!
