Spot the Difference [Beta]

Postby Tommy Gun » 09 Jan 2009, 22:40

Hello again fellow addicts! I'm sure that all of us have seen or tested our observance skills in the popular "Spot the Differences" games so I thought we might be able to have some fun by creating some with an aquatic twist :D. I'm not completely sure of the best way to set this up so it runs smoothly so let's call this the "beta" version and start with this:

Explanation: In the graphic below, you will see two pictures that are exactly the same, except for some small differences. Should you accept the challenge, it is your goal to find those six differences.

How to play: Simply download or copy/paste the pictures to your computer and use your favorite graphics software such as Microsoft Paint to draw circles around each difference you can find. Each time a new pair of pictures is posted, some basic information will accompany it including which photo is the original, which photo has been changed, and the number of changes you will need to find. Once you have found them all, save your edited version of the picture so that you can view it later, or attach it within a reply to this thread.

IMPORTANT RULES: If you would like, feel free to save your answers and paste them as a reply to this thread. HOWEVER! In order to avoid spoiling the game for others, you must upload the picture as an attachment or as a direct link to a picture hosting website such as Photobucket.

You may also post the image directly within your post, but to avoid having a fellow addict see your answers prematurely, you must us the "spoiler" feature that has just been added. In order to do this, all you need to do is highlight the image code and click on the spoiler button in the upper right hand side of the text editor. If you are using Quick Reply, then you will need to wrap the spoiler tags around your image code:

Code: Select all
[spoiler]Insert your image code here[/spoiler]

(Don't forget the back slash in the second one!).

Once you have submitted your reply, everyone will see this:

Hidden Content:

For now, we will post the answers to each game after three days to give everyone a chance to work on the answers without being tempted to cheat. We will also post another game at the same three day mark while supplies last.

Again, we may have to tweak this system a little bit to ensure that it will work smoothly for everyone. If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions, please feel free to post them in the "Forum Addicts" area. With that being said though, let's get this party started! :D

There are SIX differences between these two pictures. The one on the left is the origonal.

If you would like to make your own version of this game and/or would like to use one of your photos, feel free to forward your file to an Addict Advocate and we will be more than happy to help you with that!

No trees were harmed in the writing of this post. However, several electrons were GREATLY inconvenienced.

Was there a stealth edit, or am I too tired to read the big black, underlined text  :?:

I've got 5 of 6

Yes, stealth edit :D Apparently you are quite a bit faster than me because I made those edits about 30 seconds after I made the initial post.

Maybe I am tired but I only see one circle in the second link. There is one difference that may prove to be pretty tough to spot but I suppose that is what makes it fun, right?

I chalk it up to my bad timing. I'll go back and double check my pic.
