I've gotten a bit more into swapping frags/etc with the local crew, not to mention tossing tiny half-dead
sps frags from the bargain bin of local
LFS into tank to see what they turn into (did 3 last month that all colored up beautifully and visibly grew into nice little pieces, so I tried 3 more this month and seeing similar results!)... sitting at over a dozen diff
SPS in the tank now.
The last piece we added though tripped the majestic angel, probably because I placed it low in the tank. He nipped at it once... then twice... ultimately 10 times before I could reach in and move it. After I moved it, he swam around the tank sampling EVERY
coral except the montis!!
He was our prize fish/centerpiece in tank. I'm still pretty cheesed.
I tossed him in the 'fuge last night and let him go at a
LFS today. Angels are by far my fave fish but I think I'm done with them, at least for the time being.
I tossed in a highly recommended reef safe trigger instead, that appears to be doing much better, although a bit skittish at the moment. Also tossed in a good sized baby blue millepora so all the different acros, montis, and birdsnest dont take over my tank! (although technically are milles = acros?)
