little ol 10 gal f/w tank that tommy gun saved last year has a new problem(rather I do)


brown sticky ???????? is on the decor, gravel and tank walls. Ive had something that looks like this before, but I could wipe it off real easy. This stuff is almost like glue.



Theres about 30 tiny guppies in there, all so happy for now. did w/c, put in new filter media (charcoal), fish are ok, but tank is looking worse and worse each day. water clear. I have no test supplies!!! loaned them to a friend, and shes out of town now. grrrrrrr.

the gluey stuff was green algae!!!! Ive never had it before, but..... I did remember "cover the tank for 3 days, no light" tank looked rather silly with a sheet and my bathrobe over it, but sure enough............water crystal clear, did a w/c and cleaned fliter. the million guppies are all fine.
